(1) Find your Inner Artistic Voice9:30 to 11:30am @ Perrot Memorial LibraryHazel Jarvis is back at the Perrot Library for another two-part summer art class, Watercolor & Collage, on Friday, June 14 and 21. This class will make use of old maps and wallpaper, in keeping with the Library’s Summer Reading theme of Read, Renew, Recycle. All students should wear old clothes and bring a pair of scissors.Ms. Jarvis received a BA in History and Theory of Art from Sussex University in England. Upon moving to the United States, she studied botanical illustration in New York and, during a five-year residency in Tokyo in the 1990s, studied traditional Japanese painting. (2) Don’t Miss the Last Day of the Greenwich Art Society’s Juried Exhibition

10:00am to 4:00pm @ Bendheim Gallery

The Greenwich Art Society’s 107th Annual Juried Exhibition is coming to a close. Stop by the Bendheim Gallery to see some incredible art in several mediums. The Gallery is located at 299 Greenwich Avenue. The works on display are available for purchase. The exhibit closes today but will still be on the Greenwich Art Society’s website.

Demonstrations, games, and museum specimens will help illuminate the fascinating lives of these amazing avians.This free program, for ages 7 and older, will be held in the Ferguson Library’s Harry Bennett Branch, Stamford. (4) Attend a Special Screening of the Hollywood Classic ‘The Women’6:30 to 9:00pm @ Greenwich Library

Join the Greenwich Historical Society in partnership with the Friends’ Friday Film Series for a screening of the classic 1939 film “The Women”, adapted from the 1936 play of the same name penned by Greenwich icon Clare Boothe Luce, wife of LIFE Magazine founder and Editor-in-Chief Henry Luce.

One of the wittiest and fast-talking comedies to come out of classic Hollywood, the entirely female cast features Joan Crawford and Rosalind Russell in a hilariously biting critique of New York socialites. Peggy Parsons, Curator Emerita of Film at the National Gallery of Art, will deliver remarks preceding the screening, providing context on Boothe Luce’s original stage play, its social commentary and its adaptation for film. Registration for Greenwich Youth Cheerleading is open for fall football sideline cheer! Is your child a rising 3rd through 8th grader that lives or attends school in Greenwich?
